Summer may be over, but vacation
season doesn’t have to be. When looking through your options, consider
these tips for a trip that won’t break your budget:
• Fly in the middle of the week. You’ll usually get cheaper airfares by flying Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
• Choose off-peak dates. Avoid holiday weekends and other times of the year when vacation traffic is heavy—and more expensive for travelers.
• Book in advance. Last-minute airfares are usually more pricey. Lock in a better rate by making reservations two weeks or more in advance.
• Consider air/hotel packages. Often you can find good deals on packages that combine flights and accommodations.
