How to Talk to Your Partner About Buying Life Insurance

It’s easy to put off having a conversation about life insurance, especially when you’re younger and don’t think you need it. While partners might find it difficult to talk about life insurance with each other, there are a few things you can do to make it easier.

Starting the Conversation About Purchasing Life Insurance

You probably don’t want to think about what’s going to happen to your loved ones when you’re gone. It’s not an easy thing to tackle. So how do you begin to discuss buying life insurance with someone who doesn’t want to think about death?

Start by talking about your goals. Where do you want to end up in life? What kind of home do you want to have? If you want kids or already have them, how will you pay for their education? Even if you’ve already had these discussions a million times, it’s a good place to start to get to the next step.

Get specific. Take stock of what you already have. This includes things like your house, your cars, student loans, and other assets and debts. How much is it all worth? How much does it cost to maintain? If one of you were gone, would the other be able to afford it all? This will get your partner — and you — thinking about how to protect the things you care about and your loved ones’ financial stability.

Make a plan. Once you’ve gotten through the heaviness of financial responsibility, bring up life insurance as a way to help protect each other financially when one of you passes on. What amount of coverage do you need to cover your expenses? How much can you afford in premium payments? Make a commitment to one another to get a few insurance quotes and discuss your options.

Do We Both Need Life Insurance?

Generally, it’s best for both of you to have your own policies so the surviving partner is financially protected in the event one of you passes away. Learn more about the different types of life insurance available and find the right one for you.

What About Employer-Provided Life Insurance?

While your employer might offer you a life insurance policy as part of your employee benefits package, it may not be enough to cover your expenses or what your income provides to your partner. It’s also important to consider the possibility that you might quit or be let go from that job, which means you may be without life insurance if your policy is not portable (most are not).

What If We’re Not Married?

That’s okay! You don’t need to be married to list each other as beneficiaries on your individual life insurance policies. If you share bills, groceries, living space and other expenses, it’s a good idea to have life insurance to use as temporary replacement income for the surviving partner. And if anything happens to your relationship, you can change your beneficiaries at a later date.

Get Started With Life Insurance

If you’re ready to start your life insurance search, contact an Insurance agent to get a quote. They’ll help you find the right kind of policy for you and how much life insurance coverage you need to help financially protect the ones you love.

IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television.  This new inexpensive technology is replacing the traditional cable and satellite services for many families around the world.

You can think of IPTV as cable television on steroids, through the Internet, but for a fraction of the price.

Most IPTV services provide hundreds to thousands of channels in addition to the professional sports season passes for football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and more.  Most also provide full access to Pay-Per-View sporting events.

IPTV applications are usually available as stand-alone applications (Streaming Apps) or through the popular media center app called Kodi.

There are some free IPTV services but the quality is usually lousy and you can’t depend on them.

You will see below that we feature both free and premium services.  If you want a quality service, don’t bother with the free options.
What is the Best Device for IPTV in 2020?
Currently, the most popular way to watch IPTV is through a media streaming device such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K.

This device’s popularity stems from the ability to install 3rd party apps such as IPTV APK’s. This is often referred to as “jailbreaking”.

With a jailbroken Firestick, users can install an IPTV application for live streaming, as well as other apps for viewing Movies, TV Shows, Music, and more, ALL FOR FREE.

TROYPOINT created a detailed guide that will show you the best way to Jailbreak your firestick for the ultimate streaming experience:

How To Jailbreak a Firestick

Other streaming devices may be used as well such as the NVIDIA SHIELD, Mi Box, and generic Android TV Boxes that are distributed from China.

We have compiled a list of the best Android TV Boxes that will help you pick the perfect system for your needs.

What to Look for When Shopping for IPTV
When it comes to selecting an IPTV Service, a little bit of research may be required. Here are the things to look for before purchasing an IPTV Provider:

  • Payment Options
  • Number of Connections
  • Provided Channels
  • EPG Availability
  • Price
  • VPN Compatibility
  • Customer Support
  • Premium Sports Options

There are literally thousands of options for IPTV streaming. Many of these provide similar structure and content, but not all services are the same.

One thing to look for when searching for a provider is payment options.

Because of the uncertainty of these apps, we always suggest paying for IPTV services on a month-to-month basis. That way, if your provider goes offline or you find a better one, you are not tied down.

Another thing to consider when choosing a service is the number of connections it offers. Sometimes, users can view IPTV on up to five devices simultaneously, while others allow only one. (Oftentimes, different packages are provided with connection and price options)

IPTV Services come in all shapes and sizes and prices will vary. However, these usually range somewhere between $5-$30 per month, saving users hundreds of dollars a year.

Some of the higher-priced options may provide added benefits such as VOD (Video-On-Demand), 24/7 Customer Support, and more.

One of the more popular benefits of a higher-priced IPTV Service is a working EPG. An EPG or Electronic Program Guide allows users to lookup programs in advance and searches for viewing content.

This is a similar guide to those available with a cable box or DISH/Direct TV installment, but for a fraction of the cost!

Many companies offer users the chance to test their products out with a free trial. I always suggest testing any IPTV Service prior to purchasing to make sure it suits your needs.

Bait the hook 🎣 to land your dream job

“Being on LinkedIn" without doing the right activities is like casting a hook into the ocean with no bait and hoping you’ll catch a fish.
You'll stay hungry.

Yet I hear countless times from job seekers, “I am on LinkedIn. But I'm not getting any interviews.”

That's like saying, “I'm standing at the bar but I don't have any marriage proposals yet.”

You gotta work that bar! And initiate some conversation too.

You must put bait on that hook... and put it in the ocean....

If you're on LinkedIn, you have to work it to find contacts to reach out to and make conversation. You can't just think your profile is going to magically produce interviews or offers for you.

I am a leading expert on how to optimize your LinkedIn Profile so recruiters & hiring managers want to talk to you and how you can find those hiring managers in the first place!

I can also show you how to make the best impression when they view your profile.

But don’t let me tell you I am the right expert to show you how to do this, let me prove it.

The smokey one is my favorite

The other night a few buddies and I went to one of my favorite restaurants.
The waiter was a master salesperson because as he greeted us, he shared what his favorite cocktails are and things he enjoys most on the menu.
Let’s be real.
It was late.
Our desire to enjoy a cocktail and dinner was strong.
Yet, our desire to think was low.
We were tired and just wanted to relax and enjoy ourselves.
So what did we do?
Almost all of us chose a cocktail and menu item he suggested.
He walked us right to the sale by taking away choice fatigue.
Brilliant.
You can and should do the same thing for your clients.
They want to know the TV streaming service to use. The shake to drink. The next step they should follow.
Of course, there are many options. But your clients aren’t looking for all of the choices open to them. They want a clear path.
Take away their decision fatigue and tell them the option that is your favorite. And while you are at it, become an affiliate of things you love (watching TV & movies) and earn passive income from Quality Stream TV while you help your peeps.
A win/win you can take to the bank. Literally.
Cheers,

Albert Einstein’s insane turnover theory

You know what’s insane?

I mean, other than that guy in the park preaching to pigeons.

No, I’m talking about doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different result.

Just like Albert Einstein defined it.

And it makes sense, right?

You don’t keep adding 3+3 on your calculator thinking that, if you do it long enough, it'll give you 11.

So why do that with your employee retention problems?

Why wake up day after day, with no plan to reduce your churn, improve engagement, upgrade your culture, and help managers become more like coaches—and assume that one day, everything will be alright?

Why think this problem won’t be here in six months?

Poor Albert’ s probably up there right now shaking his head at you.

Look…

The result you want IS possible.

You CAN improve morale and engagement.

You WILL reduce employee turnover.

But you HAVE to make a change.

And that’s where I come in.

So let’s break the pattern of insanity...

Ricky Gervais Nailed It

Back when I was younger, I was really into the award shows. The glitz, glamour and Hollywood jokes were my thing.
But now, I have a much more refined palate and spend my evenings reading the classics.

Just kidding.

I still love all of that award stuff; I just fall asleep way too early to watch them now that I am old. And tired.

So I end up watching the highlight reels the next day.

My favorite perhaps of all time is the most recent Golden Globes and the monologue by Ricky Gervais. His speech was not only funny, but he got his audience right. It isn’t the Hollywood elite in the audience. It is the snarky viewer watching at home.

His messaging took an "us versus them" vibe and created a bond with the viewer brilliantly.

It is EXACTLY what your messaging should do with your audience.
Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments.

Cheers,

Doug "I go to bed early" Myrick
